猫狗同人类一样，也会受到各种疾病的侵袭，或因为环境或天气的变化而生病。 因此，注射预防针是提高猫狗免疫力的重要方式，既能让动物们有效远离疾病，还能防止疫情迅速扩散。
Cats and dogs are just like humans, they are, too, subject to various diseases, or they could get ill due to change in habitats or the weather. Therefore, vaccination is an important way to improve the immunity of cats and dogs, this will not only prevent them from being infected with diseases effectively, but also to prevent the rapid spread of diseases.

希望护生园非常重视猫狗们每一年的疫苗注射，确保每只动物都按时在兽医所规定的日期前完成注射，提高免疫力。
Here in HOPE, we take the annual vaccination very seriously cats vaccinated, to ensure the timely vaccination for each animal as scheduled by the veterinarian, in order to improve their immune system. In general, cats and dogs should be vaccinated a week or two earlier than the previous year prevent infection of diseases.

一般上，猫狗的疫苗注射时间应比前一年提早两个星期左右，以免猫狗在疫苗失效前感染疾病。无论幼犬、成犬或老犬，一旦疫苗失效都有可能受疾病感染，免疫力的降低更将导致病情加剧。
Be it puppies, adult dogs or older dogs, once the vaccine expires, they are subjected to getting infected with various diseases and if their immune systems become weak, it would cause the diseases to turn bad.

希望护生园目前共有超过1500只的流浪猫狗。为有效避免疾病的传播和扩散，注射预防针是必要之举。然而，也因为动物的数量众多，预防针的费用也占据本园开销的一大部分。
There are more than 1500 cats and dogs here in HOPE at this moment. In order to prevent the spread of any epidemic, vaccination is the only choice. However, because of the amount of cats and dogs here, vaccination is inevitably a big part of our expenses.

H.O.P.E doggies bathing event is on 22 of June 2014!! Ready for it? Come and have a happy reunion with all the doggies inside H.O.P.E :)

希望护生园里超过1500只的狗狗们需要大家合力一起来为他们洗洗澡以防止染上虱子及保持卫生干净，快来参与这项有意义的活动吧，还能享受和这么多狗狗们一起玩乐的欢愉哦 :)
Our 1500 dogs inside HOPE shelter are waiting for you to bath them to prevent flea and keep them clean! Join this meaningful event by attending on Sunday and enjoy yourself by playing with so many doggies inside :)

温馨提醒：不建议车身底的车子进入，因为需驾驶一段颠簸山泥路才能抵达希望护生园因此车身底的车子不适合进入，Myvi 或 Viva 这类型的车子进入大致上是没问题的，但请缓慢驾驶。如果没有车身高的车子或不曾进入过希望护生园的话请联络希望护生园义工，我们将会与10.15am在士古来五间店(Lima Kedai)的神庙前集合再于10.30am乘坐其中一些人的车子进入。
Reminder: As we need to drive a short journey of muddy road to get into H.O.P.E, we strongly suggest not to drive car with lower base,Myvi or Viva is considered suitable to get in but please drive in slow speed. For those who don't have transportation or not familiar with the ways to get in, please contact our H.O.P.E volunteer,we will gather in front of a temple in Lima Kedai, Skudai on 10.15am and get in together with others' vehicle on 10.30am.

服装：拖鞋，短裤及暗色衬衫。您也可另备一套干净衣服以供换穿（选择性），因为进入护生园后狗狗们会留下许多爱的脚印在您的衣服上搞得全身都脏兮兮的哦 :)
Attire: Slipper,shorts and dark-colored T-shirt. You can prepare another set of clean cloth to change(optional) as you might get dirty inside

Rescue Case 拯救案子 - Edmund

我真的很痛 请救我 我是真的想要继续活下来 谁可以救我呢？
I felt really painful. I really want to continue to live... who's going to save me?

他是Edmund，一只刚满1岁的狗狗。他是一只可怜的流浪狗，除了需要寻觅每日温饱，他还不幸惨遭车祸导致双腿重伤瘫痪。每一天，Edmund用尽全身的力气拖着瘫痪的身体在住宅区里寻找食物，甚至躲避人类的恶意攻击。他缓慢的移动，祈求的仅是能活着的明天。
He is Edmund, a year old little doggy. He is an unfortunate stray dog. Other than desperately looking for food every day, Edmund had met with a severe accident that caused his legs to paralyzed. Edmund dragged his paralyzed body day by day with all his strength around the residential area just to search for food and also to avoid malicious attack from humans. He's moving very slowly, praying hard he could survive.

希望护生园接获Edmund这一悲惨个案后，就尽快安排救援。救援当天，天空正下着雨。我们发现Edmund正躲 在一户住家的轿车底下。我们同屋主交涉，想更进一步了解Edmund的情况，才知道原来Edmund是趁着这户人家关上电动铁门时，拖着自己的身体来到门口，用自己脆弱的身躯硬挤进屋，想要寻找一处避雨之地。谁知行动不方便的Edmond来不及成功进屋，结果被极重的电动铁门夹紧，疼痛万分。屋主赶紧将电 动门重新开启，Edmond这才拖着剧痛的身子，默默躲进屋里，避一避外头的风雨。
In a desperate attempt, we have no choice but to rescue this poor little ones. On the rescued day, it was raining cats and dogs.We looked for him everywhere. We spotted Edmund was hiding under a car in a house. We talked to the house's owner to understand more about the situation. They said Edmund was trying to dragged his weak body to squeeze in to the house when they are trying to close the autogate. Edmund was desperately looking for a place for shelter as it was raining heavily. Edmund's body was being clamped in between of the autogate. It was extremely painful. The house's owner quickly rushed over to reopen the autogate. How could anyone just turn a blind eye to his pain and agony?

我们将Edmund带往诊所做进一步的体检。经过X光等一系列检查，兽医表示由于车子的强烈冲击力，导致Edmund的脊椎严重移位，不能重新站起，只能就这样拖着自己的身体，继续他接下来的生命。
The very next day, Edmund was brought to the vet. After the X-ray, the vet said that due to the strong impact that hit his body, causing him to be immobile as the nerves there were dead. It caused serious shift on his vertebral and he is unable to stand up again. He has to dragged his body for life.

Edmund是一只求生意志坚强的狗。我们从其他邻里街坊那里听说，Edmund总是拖着身子慢慢的移动，祈求人类的帮忙，只求一餐温饱，然而并不是每个人都愿意为他伸出援手，甚至狠心觉得任由他这样拖着瘫痪的身躯四处流浪也不值得同情。
Edmund has a strong will to live. The neighborhood said Edmund always dragged himself moving around the place, hoping that someone could help him or even offer him a meal but none of people around is willing to lend a helping hand to him or even bother about him. They are afraid of spending some money or even trouble.

Edmund虽然是一只人类眼中普通的菜狗，但他的背后又有特别的故事，尤其是他的求生意志，值得我们钦佩。
Although in the human's eyes Edmund is just an ordinary dog, but behind him there is a special story, especially his strong will of living deserve our admiration and compassion.

希望护生园目前有超过1500只流浪动物，Edmund已加入这个大家庭。相信他能很快适应在护生园生活，继续谱写他的故事。
H.O.P.E. is currently sheltering more than 1,500 stray animals. Edmund has joined the big family. We believe that he is able to adapt his life in HOPE very quickly. At least we know he's happy here, not needing to worry about food, water or shelter again. With limited resources, we cannot afford to put all the dogs at HOPE. Our hearts weep when we know there’s so much to be done but yet so little was done.

At last, our pity boy, Edmund couldn’t make it. He left this world that brought bitterness and suffer to him, and right now he is with our god. Our poor kid, we wish you can run happily at the rainbow bridge without any suffering.

狗狗的天堂没有车子，没有摩托，没有坏人，希望您尽情的在那里享受。
At heaven, there are no cars, motorcycles and villain. We wish you able to enjoy at there as much as you can.

Edmund是一只令人钦佩的狗狗。虽然因遭遇车祸导致脊柱神经受损，终身瘫痪，但他每天都挣扎求存，为的只是活下去。
Edmund is an admirable dog. Although he being hit during accident and cause serious injuries at his spinal nerves and paralyzed for life, he still fight so hard to survive. He work so hard just to stay alive in this world.

Edmund在被拯救之前，是一只被世界遗忘的孩子。我们知道还有许多动物同Edmund一样有类似的可怜遭遇。
Before Edmund being rescued, he is a forgotten child in this world. We knew that there are still a lot of animals like Edmund are suffering in the same circumstances.

您可以选择不爱，但请您不要伤害。希望大家能关爱身旁的流浪动物，他们求的仅是一餐温饱和一处遮风挡雨的地方。
You may not love them, but please do not hurt them. We wish everyone able to give their loves to these strays. Maybe just a meal or place as shelter.

26/05/2014: 旺来的最新近况 Updates about Wang Lai:

26/05/2014: 不知大家还记得旺来吗？三年前被罗里司机特意撞造成嘴巴当场爆裂之后又因破伤风病菌差点性命不保。
Wondering you all still remember Wang Lai? Three years ago, he being hit purposely by lorry and cause his mouth injured badly. After that, he infected tetanus germs and almost dead because of it.

目前的旺来已先入住新收容所，每一天都会跟随正赶建设新收容所的工人左右，旺来是工人贴身保镖兼良伴，狗狗们总是如此忠心和贴心:)
Currently, he is already in our new shelter. Everyday, he following our building workers and became they partner and body guard. Doggies are always so caring and loyalty.

虽然说猫狗不是人，但这世上不是只有人才拥有生命的，只要是生命，都应该被尊重，即使你不喜欢他们，也不要伤害他们!
Although cats and dogs are not human beings, but not only humans are living beings. We should respect all living beings, they deserved it. You might not love them, but please do not hurt them…

We would like to thank you again for your generosity

We would like to thank you again for your generosity! As of 15th May, HOPE has successfully raised RM15,000! We have already put a portion of the funds into feeding the animals and of course, paying back what we have owed to the dog food supplier, easing the debts temporarily.

HOPE’s major monthly expenses include the following: -
1. Food for more than 1500 cats and dogs, estimated at RM40,000 monthly
2. Vaccination
3. Medical Fees
4. Construction costs for the new shelter

The above totals up to RM80,000 expenses a month. All these have put HOPE into a very difficult financial situation, very often resulting to not having enough food for the animals and for a few times, we actually face the risk of not being able to buy food at all! At the moment, we are in debt (to the dog food supplier) of about RM100,000. It is only with your generosity, we are able to pull through these obstacles time and time again.

Where there is life, there is hope – this is why HOPE exists. Of course we know that this is a black hole but we are not giving up yet, we treat the animals as members of our family, we believe if there’s love, there’s hope.

We are desperately in need of financial support to clear some of our debts. We also need bricks, sand/gravel and tiles to help build a new shelter for our family. We hope that you can continue to support us at HOPE, by providing us not only moral support, also monetary support or even by donating materials. Your support is what keeps us going.
