星期六(27/June)当天有位志愿者(Nix Lau)会提供暂时纹身绘画动物掌印在来参与的手上留作纪念。所收到的费用全数会捐进给我们。希望大家到场支持！
This coming Saturday(27/June), we have a volunteer(Nix Lau) will provide temporary tattoo "Paws" on the donation people hand. all fee will donate to HOPE Charity Fair. Wish you can came to spport us!!!

Rescue Case 拯救案子 - Liddy

“是不是我不乖，所以你转身就走？”——Liddy
Because of i am not obedient, thus you abandoned me? – Liddy

这是Liddy，是希望护生园最近接获民众通报,前往救援的贵宾犬(Poodle).
She is Liddy, a poddle; the latest hope's recuse case.

Liddy脏兮兮的。过长的毛发遮盖了双眼，凌乱且凌乱。我们相信她已经流浪好一阵子。
Dirty & untidy, while we saw her along the street. We believed she is wandering on the street for a long time already.

Liddy耳朵和脖子附近的毛发已被脓水和血水染成黑色。仔细一看，发现无数的蛆虫夹杂在那黑成一团的毛发中，吸吮着那溃烂的耳朵，要把那最后一丝营养给彻底吸走。
The blood and blister on Liddy's ears had turn her ears and neck's fur become black. We able to find numerous of maggots, which are trying to feed from the ear's wound.

Liddy在发抖。她在忍受溃烂伤口带来的剧痛，她在忍受生活的艰难带来的不堪。
Liddy is struggling and suffering from the pain caused by rotting wound.

义工们慢慢安抚Liddy的情绪，温柔地拍拍她，轻轻地和她说话。或许L:ity知道自己将被救赎，被毛发遮掩的眼眶泛起泪光。在场的义工无不心疼，难过得说不出话来。
We are trying to calm down her emotion by touching and talking with her gently and softly. We feel sadness when we saw Liddy’s tears. She may feel that she already been rescued.

Liddy马上被送往兽医诊所救治。如照片所示，兽医从Liddy耳部及颈部取出了一小桶的蛆虫。蠕动的小虫在她身上吸噬着，撕咬她的血肉。Liddy无法将她们从自己小小的身躯赶走，只能默默忍受，与蛆虫、垃圾、人类的白眼，在这个世界共存。
As the picture shown, a pail of maggots was taken out from the wound on Liddy ear and neck. Liddy unable to remove those maggots out from her body. Endure, is the only way Liddy can do.

兽医诊断，由于送医过晚，Liddy的听觉神经已经被蛆虫彻底侵蚀，丧失了听觉能力，再也听不见了。
Unfortunately, veterinarian had verified that Liddy hearing neuron system already been damaged by maggots. Liddy, lost her capability of listening and become deaf forever.

经过希望护生园的了解和调查，推断Liddy是在生病后被前饲主抛弃的。假设Liddy能提早接受妥善治疗，她的耳朵是可以痊愈的。不过现在，一切都太迟了。
After investigation, we strongly believed that Liddy was abandoned by her owner, when they knew that Liddy was sick. Liddy will not become deaf, if she able to receive a well treatment before the wound get serious. But all is too late.

我们都知道,许多贵宾犬都被人类捧在手心疼爱，当作家人一样照顾。我们相信Liddy在流浪之前，也一样过着舒适的生活，被主人爱护。没想到生病之后，她的主人——或许由于懒于照顾，或许由于医药费太高，或许由于种种我们不了解的原因——狠心将她抛弃。
As we know, all Poodles act as their master's darling, who receive a good care just like they are part of family members. Same as Liddy, she also received same treat before. However, Liddy life changed after sick. Lazy to take care a sick pet, lack of responsibility, high medical cost and etc. All these reason may caused Liddy been abandoned by her owner

毛孩们同人类一样会生老病死，这是无法避免的生命循环。倘若因为毛孩老了、病了就将他们随意抛弃，这是人类极其不负责任的态度。
All pets same as human being, all of us included animals will face similar life cycle.It seem like to irresponsible, if we simply abandoned our pets due to them too old and sick.

毛孩们没有选择的权力，他们不知道自己为什么会来到一个陌生的地方，他们不知道为什么生活发生了如此剧变，他们不知道为什么主人转身就走。
Pets unable to choose their own life. They not even know why they appear at a stranger place, they not even know who destroy their happiness and why their master abandoned them.

Liddy再也听不见了。不管我们如何呼唤，她再也感受不到我们言语中的关爱。
Liddy already deaf, she unable to hear anything forever.

或许，她脑海里回荡的还是主人的声音。
However, she may still remember her owner voice in her mind.

请别让你离去的背影，成为她最后的回忆。
Please don’t turn your back against the furballs as their last vision of us.

关爱，请不要伤害。爱她，就是不离不弃。
Love and care , please do not harm them. Love them, choose not to leave or give up on them.

希望护生园里超过1500只的狗狗们需要大家合力一起来为他们洗洗澡以防止染上虱子及保持卫生干净，快来参与这项有意义的活动吧，还能享受和这么多狗狗们一起玩乐的欢愉哦 :)
Our 1500 dogs inside HOPE shelter are waiting for you to bath them to prevent flea and keep them clean! Join this meaningful event by attending on Sunday and enjoy yourself by playing with so many doggies inside :)

温馨提醒：不建议车身底的车子进入，因为需驾驶一段颠簸山泥路才能抵达希望护生园因此车身底的车子不适合进入，Myvi 或 Viva 这类型的车子进入大致上是没问题的，但请缓慢驾驶。如果没有车身高的车子或不曾进入过希望护生园的话请联络希望护生园义工，我们将会与10.15am在士古来五间店(Lima Kedai)的神庙前集合再于10.30am乘坐其中一些人的车子进入。
Reminder: As we need to drive a short journey of muddy road to get into H.O.P.E, we strongly suggest not to drive car with lower base,Myvi or Viva is considered suitable to get in but please drive in slow speed. For those who don't have transportation or not familiar with the ways to get in, please contact our H.O.P.E volunteer,we will gather in front of a temple in Lima Kedai, Skudai on 10.15am and get in together with others' vehicle on 10.30am.

Rescue Case 拯救案子 - Reborn

铁圈下的伤痛－Reborn

没有人爱我，没有人疼我。 我不知道自己的名字。我不知道自己的年龄。我没有朋友。我独自在街头流浪。
No one loves me, no one cares about me…I don’t know my name, I don’t know how long it’s been. I don’t even have friends and I wonder the streets on my own.

在我有限的记忆中，有人在我的脖子绑了一圈铁丝。随着我慢慢长大，脖子越来越粗，铁丝越圈越紧越圈越紧，直到陷进我的皮肉。我很痛苦，痛苦地呼吸，痛苦地进食，痛苦地行走，痛苦地睡着。我的脖子开始腐烂。流血、蓄脓、生虫。无数的虫子在我腐烂的脖子钻洞、游窜。我好痛，但谁帮得了我？
I don’t remember when but I was still small and I remember a man putting a wire around my neck. As I grow, the wire got tighter, and tighter, it was cutting into my skin and then flesh. It was so painful, it hurts when I breathe, it hurts when I eat, it hurts when I walk and it hurts when I sleep… and then, the wound on my neck started to get infected. It started bleeding at first and then pus, and then there were maggots… there were so many maggots crawling in my neck. It was so painful, but who could help me?

我很绝望，但我还想活下去。
I was desperate but I wanted to live.

下雨了。我尝试在屋檐下避雨。但人们都拿着木棍、铁枝把我赶走，他们说我很臭。我知道我很臭，但谁帮得了我？
When it rained, I tried to seek shelter under some people’s eaves but people came and beat me up with wooden sticks and iron bars just to keep me away. They said that I stunk. I know I stunk, but was there someone to help me?

某天，有个哥哥尝试喂我吃饭。但我为了保护自己，只能对他发凶，不让他靠近。隔天，大哥哥带来一班朋友来，我很惶恐，只能一直跑一直跑，不让他们追上。
One day, a big brother tried to feed me but out of fear, I was aggressive towards him, I didn’t let him get near me. The next day, the big brother brought a bunch of his friends with him, I was very scared and so I ran, and ran, so that they can’t catch me.

我跑了好久，我累了，我想休息。我躲进车底，我想这是最安全的地方。
I ran for a long time, I got tired and wanted to take a rest. I hid under a car, I thought it was the safest place.

天空下着雨，地上好湿好冷。大哥哥和他的朋友们追上了，趴在马路上同车底下的我说话。
It was still raining and the ground was cold and wet. The big brother and his friends caught up with me and they tried to talk to me laying on the wet ground.

“不要怕，我们是来救你的，你就不用承受这么大的痛苦了。”我还记得他们的语气是那么的温柔。
“Don’t worry, we are here to help you so you don’t have to suffer so much pain.” I remember him being so gentle when he said this.

我好冷、好累、好痛、好臭。但我一直以为没人帮得了我的。
I felt so cold, so tire, so much pain and I stuck so much. I never thought that someone would come to my rescue.

也许我错了，大哥哥和朋友们是来拯救我的。我应该相信他们。
I was wrong. Big brother and his friends came to my rescue. I should have believed in them.

那天，我被火速送到兽医诊所。医生将那深深折磨着我地铁丝圈剪断，帮我把无数的虫子抓干净，帮我清理那腐烂发臭的伤口。
That day, I was rushed to the animal hospital. The vet cut off the wire around my neck, got rid of all the maggots in it and cleansed my stinking rotten wound for me.

不过，经过诊断，我的气管和喉管因为被虫子长时间的蛀蚀，严重受损，情况不太可观，只能留院接受进一步的观察和治疗。
However, after the diagnosis, the vet found that my trachea and throat are severely damaged by the maggots. They were not optimistic about my condition, so I was hospitalized so that I can be treated.

我终于体会到生命的温暖。谢谢医生，谢谢大哥哥和拯救我的朋友们。我不再绝望，我想活下去。
I finally felt loved. Thank you Mr. Vet and thank you big brother and your friends who rescued me. I am not desperate anymore, I will live.

我会努力为每一个明天加油，请你们也为我一起加油。
I will hang on to every tomorrow, please cheer for me.

为了我的重生，我现在名叫Reborn,
For my new life, I now have a name, Reborn.

Reborn还是无法熬过生命中最艰难的一关，因伤口细菌感染于今日病逝。
Reborn, he still unable to survive. He passed away today due to wound infection.

Reborn的脖子从小被套上了铁圈。随着Reborn长大，铁圈越圈越紧，嵌进皮肉。Reborn的脖子随之腐烂、蓄脓流血。可怜的Reborn被拯救时已奄奄一息，火速被送往救治。兽医表示他的气管已被蛀蚀，情况并不乐观。
While reborn was a puppy, the steel loop already fixed on his neck. when reborn grown up, the steel loop become more tighter and embedded inside the flesh of his neck; which caused his neck fester and pus. Reborn almost dying, while we saw him. We sent him to the veterinary immediately. Unfortunately, Veterinarian told us reborn's trachea already eroded and his condition is not optimistic.

我们一心期盼奇迹的降临，为这只可怜的毛孩取名“重生”(Reborn)，希望他康复后能开始另一段全新的快乐生活。不过，这一刻还是落空了。
We named him as reborn, just because we hope he can start his new life with us. However, the miracle does not happened.

我们乐观的相信，Reborn依旧重生，不过是在彩虹桥的另一端。他会在那里愉快地和其他毛孩奔跑嬉戏。那里没有痛苦，只有快乐。
Although, reborn already left us; we still strongly believe he had start his new life in heaven. Reborn, hope you enjoy your new life there, we will not forget you.

再见，Reborn。
Goodbye, Reborn.

希望您在彩虹桥的另一端摇着尾巴，快乐地过日子。我们永远怀念您。

每一天我们有超过1500多张口等着喂食 We've over 1500 mouths to feed everyday

目前，希望护生园共有超过1500只毛孩，是全马收留最多流浪动物的收容中心。因此，庞大的开销往往超出我们的预算。
Currently, there are more than 1500 doggies in our shelter and this makes H.O.P.E.S the shelter having the most doggies among other pet shelters in Malaysia. Therefore, the huge expenses are always out of our budget.

针对希望护生园的困境，许多网友曾提出相同的疑问：
Many people raised the following question to us:

1.为什么希望护生园会一直处在爆满的状态？
Q: Why HOPES shelter is always a packed shelter?

答：希望护生园的义工们每天都会接获数十通求助电话，要求我们前往指定地点，施以救援。如果被救助的毛孩所处的地方非常危险或身受重伤，我们都会将他们送往兽医院接受进一步的治疗，出院后接往希望护生园，成为大家庭的一份子。 此外，我们也多次救回被市议会抓走的无辜狗儿。我们不忍心看他们惨遭人道毁灭，因此都尽力将他们救回，最后安顿在希望护生园。 就是在一次又一次的不忍心下，导致了如今希望护生园的爆满。
A: Our volunteer do received not less than 10 calls per day, requesting us to rescue doggies at various places. We will send those in very bad condition or injured badly for treatment at veterinary until they have recover or fit to be moved to the shelter. Besides that, we did rescue a lot of innocent doggies trapped down by the town council. We do not wish to see them being euthanized. Therefore, we did our best to keep them alive by getting them out of the town council stray dogs holding compound and rehome them at our shelter.

2.园里的狗狗吃些什么？
Q: What's the food for doggies in shelter?

答：干狗粮。
A: Dried dog food.

3.为什么不吃剩饭剩菜？ 由于园里没有食水和电源供应，加上园里动物数量非常庞大，喂食饭菜并不是明智之举。
Q: Why we did not feed them with leftover food or cooked food?

答：剩饭剩菜一般会引来苍蝇和害虫，这对护生园的卫生情况是一大隐患。如果苍蝇和害虫在希望护生园里肆虐滋生，将对毛孩们（尤其是身上有伤口的毛孩）造成非常大的生命威胁。在兽医的推荐下，我们决定喂食饲料，确保毛孩们获取足够的营养，提高抵抗力，健康成长。
A: Preparing cooked food is not a wise choice due to neither electricity nor water supply is available in our shelter. The leftover food will always attract flies and pests which will be a hazard for us. If the flies and pests breed rampantly, the health of our doggies especially those with open wounds will be in threat. Under advice of vet, we decided to feed them with dried dog food which can help to ensure our doggies obtain enough nutrient, better immunity and healthy growth.

4.每个月需要多少狗粮？
Q: How much dried dog food do we need every month?

答：目前，希望护生园每个月需要1395包15公斤的狗粮，喂食园里超过1500只狗狗。粮食方面的开销约为4万令吉。
A: Currently, HOPES do need 1395bags of 15kgs/bag dried dog food for our shelter dogs that is exceeding 1500 of them. Just the dog food cost is already costing us approximately RM40,000 a month.

5. 希望护生园的宗旨？
Q: What’s the mission for HOPES?

在城市化的发展下，人类已经剥夺了动物赖以生存的自然栖息地。作为万物之灵，人类并没有资格再剥夺他们的生命。希望护生园为动物们的生存权利而努力，期望能将保护动物的观念灌输到整个社会。
Under the rapid urbanization, human already deprived the natural habitat of animals. As human, we do not have the rights to take their lives either. Therefore, HOPES is working hard based on the right of living and wish to instill this mindset of protecting animals to the whole community.

答：这是一条漫长的道路，但我们不会轻易放弃。希望能获得大众的支持。
Q: We understand that there is still a long way to go. But we are not going to give up easily. We wish to have your great supports to make it a success.

时光飞逝，一晃就到了2014年6月份…护生园里食物耗尽的速度比您想象中的快…我们现在急需猫粮和狗粮以喂饱希望护生园里面的毛孩子们!!!
Times flies, it's the month 2014 of June.... and we're in need of dog and cat food for our shelter animals. The food runs out faster than you can imagine at the shelter.

现只需RM206就能捐赠3包15kg的狗粮给流浪动物们, 一份捐助 = 一份希望....谢谢大家

我们目前有超过1500++多只的流浪猫狗，尤其狗狗的食物消耗量非常惊人，我们一天内就需消耗45包15kg的狗粮，一个月就需消耗大概1395包15kg的狗粮! 一个月单单食粮就得花费超过四万块，食物是他们最基本的需求，而我们的团体无时无刻都在头疼着这笔庞大的开销，但是如果每一个人每一个月都愿意捐赠一包15kg的狗饼，我们的负担会减轻很多也可以有能力做更多的事...请大家伸出援手，一同为流浪动物出一份力!
We are currently sheltering over 1500++ homeless cats and dogs, we need a total of 45 bags of 15kg dog foods now to feed our doggies per day, a total of 1395 bags of 15kg dog foods/month! We have to spend over RM40k per month for the expenses of food itself. Food is the basic needs of animals, our team is working really hard to get enough funds to cover the huge expenditure. BUT if each of you is willing to donate at least 1 bag of 15kg dog food per month, it can ease our burden and enable us to have more ability to do more for homeless animals, please help us to continue say “YES” to animals who need our help!

**备注: 许多网友和访客问我们为何不自己煮食给护生园内的狗狗猫猫，因为这比较经济，在此我们想说明以下几点为护生园喂食狗粮和猫粮的原因：
1. 依据护生园现有的环境和状况缺乏水电供应导致护生园内不适合煮食
2. 护生园庞大的猫狗数量高达逾1500多只，倘若一天煮食2餐将导致工人负荷不来剧增的工作量
3. 隔夜或剩余的熟食容易引来苍蝇等昆虫，这将导致护生园内的卫生恶化并且带来更多的猫狗健康问题
4. 狗粮猫粮比起米饭来得更有营养价值和成分

**Remark: Many would ask why don't we cook for our dogs and cats as it is much cheaper and economical.
1. As our current shelter does not have electricity and water supply, it would be hard for us to cook for the animals.
2. It would be time consuming for our workers to cook for over 1500 animals twice a day.
3. Leftover rice and chicken will easily attract flies to come and it is not very hygienic too.
4. Dog food are more nutritious compare to rice.

Dear all, please support The Pet Project. Thank you to Miss Sabrina Saw for giving us the chance to join this meaningful event.
As the third installment of The Pet Project Malaysia, Pet Project 2014 is a 2-hour showcase in aid of raising funds and awareness for FOUR registered animal welfare NGOs across Malaysia. Over the last six months, 136 youth have rehearsed tirelessly in hopes of conveying and sharing strong messages for the cause through the medium of dance, theater and media.
Catch jaw-dropping performances by award-winning choreographers Sabrina Saw (UNESCO International Dance Council) and Tony Stone (Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, The Prince's Trust, etc) as well as our favorite Malaysian celebrities (including Ning Baizura for the THIRD year in a row!). All for our animals.
ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO OUR BENEFICIARIES AT THE END OF EACH NIGHT ensuring this is a 100% transparent event.

Rescue Case 拯救案子 - 平平 Ping Ping

你的无情让我吃了好多苦
Your ruthlessness make me suffered so much.

他名叫“平平”，原由主人饲养，却不知何故被抛弃，流落街头。所幸附近的好心居民都同情平平的可怜遭遇，定时喂食，为平平带来一餐温饱。
His name is Ping Ping. He was previously a house pet, but we do not know why he ended as a stray. The residents nearby were sympathy on him and fed him regularly.

流浪狗的遭遇非我们所能理解。除了每天要找寻食物填饱肚子，还要学会逃生技巧——躲过车辆和人类的伤害。
Life of a stray is beyond our understanding. They need to scavenge for whatever little food they can manage to find just to get through each miserable day. On top of that, they need to be alert and away from accident and human abuse.

平平的后脚在一次车祸中受伤了。由于没有及时送医，两只后脚的伤口越发溃烂，深可见骨。从照片中，我们可以看到平平的后脚只剩下血淋淋的皮肉和惨白的骨头，实在无法想象他到底承受多少痛苦。
His hind leg was injured badly in a hit and run car accident. The wound’s condition deteriorated as he was left without immediate medical attention. As you can see from the picture, there are no words to properly describe the seriousness of the condition of the wound and the pain that he had went through.

一位好心人心疼受伤的平平，前去通知他的前主人，希望前主人能回心转意，让平平受到妥善的医疗照顾。谁知，前主人决定放任平平的死活，不闻不问，无情至极。
A kind soul stepped forward and informed Ping Ping’s situation to his owener, hoping that the owner will help Ping Ping. However, no response or action taken by Ping Ping’s owner.

希望护生园接获平平的个案后，前往他流浪的地点施以援救。可怜的平平拖着重伤的后脚为生活继续挣扎着。事不宜迟，我们赶紧将平平带往兽医诊所求诊，希望平平能及时治疗，免去截肢的噩梦。
When H.O.P.E.S was informed of this situation, the volunteers rushed down for rescue. Ping Ping was seen dragging his injured leg, struggling to survive when spotted by volunteers. He was immediately sent to the clinic for a thorough check up. We hope with the immediate medical attention can avoid him from amputation.

经兽医诊断，平平溃烂的伤口已严重发炎，需要长时间的治疗，伤口才能慢慢愈合。
After checkup, vet said that the wound was already seriously inflamed and it will be a long healing process.

狗狗是很敏感的动物。对他们而言，弃养是一次重大的打击，心灵创伤难以弥合，就算随着时间推进或融入新的环境都不能让他们忘记被抛弃的伤痛。
Dogs are sensitive animal. Owner is all they have in their life. Abandoned dog suffered extreme fear and pain. It takes time for them to recover and turn from fear to love.

狗狗不是商品，不是玩具，是生命。人类作为万兽之灵，本就应该善待动物，更何况狗狗是人类最衷心的好朋友。他们的生命不长，爱他养他，就请照顾他一生。
Dog is neither a good nor a toy but a living creature. We should be kind to animals especially to dogs, which they are man’s best friend.

平平的遭遇让我们体会了世间的冷暖。在此，我们也不忘代平平感谢曾经善待他的朋友。而对平平的前主人，我们想让他知道他遗弃的不仅是一只菜狗，而是一个可爱的生命。
What happened to Ping Ping let us understand our community. We would like to say thank you to everyone who had offer a lending hand to Ping Ping.

平平在遇见领养人之前，将会在希望护生园疗伤。我们希望他能尽早痊愈，与园里的朋友们快乐奔跑。
Before Ping Ping is ready for adoption, he will be safe in HOPE shelter for healing and given the necessary medical treatment.
