Rescue Case 拯救案子 - Edmund

我真的很痛 请救我 我是真的想要继续活下来 谁可以救我呢？
I felt really painful. I really want to continue to live... who's going to save me?

他是Edmund，一只刚满1岁的狗狗。他是一只可怜的流浪狗，除了需要寻觅每日温饱，他还不幸惨遭车祸导致双腿重伤瘫痪。每一天，Edmund用尽全身的力气拖着瘫痪的身体在住宅区里寻找食物，甚至躲避人类的恶意攻击。他缓慢的移动，祈求的仅是能活着的明天。
He is Edmund, a year old little doggy. He is an unfortunate stray dog. Other than desperately looking for food every day, Edmund had met with a severe accident that caused his legs to paralyzed. Edmund dragged his paralyzed body day by day with all his strength around the residential area just to search for food and also to avoid malicious attack from humans. He's moving very slowly, praying hard he could survive.

希望护生园接获Edmund这一悲惨个案后，就尽快安排救援。救援当天，天空正下着雨。我们发现Edmund正躲 在一户住家的轿车底下。我们同屋主交涉，想更进一步了解Edmund的情况，才知道原来Edmund是趁着这户人家关上电动铁门时，拖着自己的身体来到门口，用自己脆弱的身躯硬挤进屋，想要寻找一处避雨之地。谁知行动不方便的Edmond来不及成功进屋，结果被极重的电动铁门夹紧，疼痛万分。屋主赶紧将电 动门重新开启，Edmond这才拖着剧痛的身子，默默躲进屋里，避一避外头的风雨。
In a desperate attempt, we have no choice but to rescue this poor little ones. On the rescued day, it was raining cats and dogs.We looked for him everywhere. We spotted Edmund was hiding under a car in a house. We talked to the house's owner to understand more about the situation. They said Edmund was trying to dragged his weak body to squeeze in to the house when they are trying to close the autogate. Edmund was desperately looking for a place for shelter as it was raining heavily. Edmund's body was being clamped in between of the autogate. It was extremely painful. The house's owner quickly rushed over to reopen the autogate. How could anyone just turn a blind eye to his pain and agony?

我们将Edmund带往诊所做进一步的体检。经过X光等一系列检查，兽医表示由于车子的强烈冲击力，导致Edmund的脊椎严重移位，不能重新站起，只能就这样拖着自己的身体，继续他接下来的生命。
The very next day, Edmund was brought to the vet. After the X-ray, the vet said that due to the strong impact that hit his body, causing him to be immobile as the nerves there were dead. It caused serious shift on his vertebral and he is unable to stand up again. He has to dragged his body for life.

Edmund是一只求生意志坚强的狗。我们从其他邻里街坊那里听说，Edmund总是拖着身子慢慢的移动，祈求人类的帮忙，只求一餐温饱，然而并不是每个人都愿意为他伸出援手，甚至狠心觉得任由他这样拖着瘫痪的身躯四处流浪也不值得同情。
Edmund has a strong will to live. The neighborhood said Edmund always dragged himself moving around the place, hoping that someone could help him or even offer him a meal but none of people around is willing to lend a helping hand to him or even bother about him. They are afraid of spending some money or even trouble.

Edmund虽然是一只人类眼中普通的菜狗，但他的背后又有特别的故事，尤其是他的求生意志，值得我们钦佩。
Although in the human's eyes Edmund is just an ordinary dog, but behind him there is a special story, especially his strong will of living deserve our admiration and compassion.

希望护生园目前有超过1500只流浪动物，Edmund已加入这个大家庭。相信他能很快适应在护生园生活，继续谱写他的故事。
H.O.P.E. is currently sheltering more than 1,500 stray animals. Edmund has joined the big family. We believe that he is able to adapt his life in HOPE very quickly. At least we know he's happy here, not needing to worry about food, water or shelter again. With limited resources, we cannot afford to put all the dogs at HOPE. Our hearts weep when we know there’s so much to be done but yet so little was done.

可怜的Edmund最终还是抵不过死神的召唤，离开了这个令他受尽苦难的世界。我们可怜的孩子，祝愿您在彩虹桥的另一端快乐地奔驰。
At last, our pity boy, Edmund couldn’t make it. He left this world that brought bitterness and suffer to him, and right now he is with our god. Our poor kid, we wish you can run happily at the rainbow bridge without any suffering.

狗狗的天堂没有车子，没有摩托，没有坏人，希望您尽情的在那里享受。
At heaven, there are no cars, motorcycles and villain. We wish you able to enjoy at there as much as you can.

Edmund是一只令人钦佩的狗狗。虽然因遭遇车祸导致脊柱神经受损，终身瘫痪，但他每天都挣扎求存，为的只是活下去。
Edmund is an admirable dog. Although he being hit during accident and cause serious injuries at his spinal nerves and paralyzed for life, he still fight so hard to survive. He work so hard just to stay alive in this world.

Edmund在被拯救之前，是一只被世界遗忘的孩子。我们知道还有许多动物同Edmund一样有类似的可怜遭遇。
Before Edmund being rescued, he is a forgotten child in this world. We knew that there are still a lot of animals like Edmund are suffering in the same circumstances.

您可以选择不爱，但请您不要伤害。希望大家能关爱身旁的流浪动物，他们求的仅是一餐温饱和一处遮风挡雨的地方。
You may not love them, but please do not hurt them. We wish everyone able to give their loves to these strays. Maybe just a meal or place as shelter.
