His name is Asuka, 5 years of age, after looking at the x-ray, osteophytes (bone spurs) was found in his lumbar vertebrae!
The osteophytes has caused Asuka the mobility of his hind legs and is causing him severe paine. We could settle on a surgical remedy but the risk is too high and the success rate is too low, especially looking at where the growth is. If the surgery did not go well, it is very likely that Asuka will be paralyzed.
The only choice we have now is acupuncture treatment, to increase the blood circulation, and reduce the pain. This is a 10-day treatment, during which Asuka will have to be hospitalized.
This treatment costs approx. RM1200, this will add to the weight we have on our shoulders financially. Asuka needs your help, he needs sponsors. Thank you very much!
Please, please do not go to puppy mills, they do are the ones that cause this kind of pain to dogs like Asuka. Adopt, instead of buying. Buying from these puppy mills is only going to create more tragedies like this!

14/08/2013: Asuka has completed his 10-day acupuncture treatment yesterday and has already been discharged and returned to HOPE to recover. We will keep everyone posted of Asuka's status.
We thank you for the donations to help Asuka, with all our hearts. And we strongly believe that with so much love, his condition will definitely improve over time.
What Asuka has been through was a tragedy, but he is not the only one suffering. There are so many puppy mills out there that are using these poor furkids to make money. These innocent creatures are going through their lives in some of the most unimaginable ways, the cruelty and neglect... It is time to tell your friends and families the truth about these puppy mills, ask them not to buy from them so that tragedies like this can be reduced. There will be no more illegal breeding if we stop buying from these puppy mills. They can choose to adopt, instead of buying. There are still tens of thousands of strays out there, waiting for their forever home, waiting for the day that they have a home to go to. This, is a decision that we can help them make.

Asuka经过十天的针灸疗程后在步行方面没多大的起色，不过精神到是好了很多!
我们也明白一旦狗狗长骨刺痊癒的机率很底，长骨刺的狗狗也不大愿意动，因为一动身子就会痛!
目前Asuka每天必须服用药物补助脊椎神经以及止痛。
Asuka是只非常乖巧又活泼的孩子，无论面对多痛的身子，他都非常坚定，希望未来的日子里他都能一却平安顺利，更希望他能拥有一个温暖的家。

After 10 days of acupuncture treatment, Asuka has not improved much on his ability to walk, but he has definitely lightened up a lot!
We know that once bone spurs start to grow, the chances for the dogs to fully recover is very slim. And they don't like to move much because it hurts when they move.
Asuka is now on medication to help with his lumbar vertebrae and to deal with the pain. Asuka is a very submissive and playful furkid. He has shown us how tough he is by dealing with the severe pain quietly. We hope that the path in front of him is a smooth one, not only that, we hope that he finds a loving forever home soon.
We hope that your support for Asuka continues, and one of you can become his foster family until he finds his forever home. Or even better if you could give him a forever loving home! Thank you very much!-----------------

Now paralyzed and his frail body means that more pain and suffering is lying ahead of him! 于09/11/ On 09/11/2013, we brought Asuka to the veterinarian for another check up. It was apparent that there is a tumor on the back of his neck that has led to his paralysis. The veterinarians stressed that because it is in the neck, to try and extract tissue from it is a huge risk to take. 因严重骨刺导致全身瘫痪的Asuka经过几个月的针灸治 Asuka is suffering paralyzed due to the bone spurs. Although he had undergoes acupuncture treatment, but it is still lackluster. The vet is once again confirmed he going to be paralyzed for life. Asuka目前由义工张小姐全心全意照顾。上个星期天， Currently, our volunteer Ms.Teo is taking care of Asuka. Last Sunday, we went to visit Asuka. He look so great, and get so excited once see us. His short tail is shaking energetically and showing a warm smiling face. Although he no longer able to stand up and wave to us, he still uses all his energy to move his body just to say Hi. 在张小姐细心的照料下，Asuka当初因为长时间侧躺而 What makes us feel grateful is under the attentive care of Ms.Teo; the horrible wound due to long lie is getting better and going to recover. To avoid the skin ulceration happen again, Asuka need to be flip every hour to avoid the skin ulcer under long period of lying. The long hour of lying will cause the skin injured under the press of bone. For your information, to take care a paralyzed doggie is a very tough job. Asuka是只爱撒娇的Rottweiler，喜欢人们 You know, Asuka is a doggie that like to flighty. He like us to tap on his head and petting his face and neck. However, when Asuka's legs started to go bad and competing was impossible anymore, he was dumped into a puppy mill and until one day, the breeder thought he was no use to them anymore, it was over for him.
