Rescue Case 拯救案子 - Carrot

一只怀孕的狗妈妈被车子碾断后脚——肚里的胎儿全部胎死腹中——后脚必须截肢——子宫必须整个摘除 Carrot的遭遇非我们所能体会和感受。除了心痛，我们只能继续为她祈祷，希望她能早日康复，度过生命中的难关。
A pregnant mama dog had her hind legs run over by a car and because of that she lost all of her unborn puppies. Not only that, her hind legs have to be amputated and on top of that her uterus had to be removed. We call her Carrot. We can hardly imagine the pain she has gone through. Other than the heart breaking feeling, we could only continue to pray for her wellness, hoping that she can recover from this hardship.

我们从网上看到一张令人心碎的照片——一只怀孕母狗被车碾过，双脚重伤，无助地趴在马路中央，没人愿意帮她一把。
We saw online a devastating photo of a pregnant dog that’s been run over by a car, both hind legs seriously injured, lying in the middle of the road helplessly. No one would lend a helping hand.

希望护生园义工了解情况后，赶紧前往救援。无助的Carrot挺着大大的肚子，瘫坐在走廊上，无法动弹。被撞伤的后脚伤口深可见骨，无法想象的剧痛。可以肯定的是，除了躯体的伤痛，作为狗妈妈，她更担心的是肚子里的狗宝宝，不知道他们在肚子里是否安好？很可惜的，因为没有及时抢救，狗宝宝们都在妈妈的肚子里夭折了，Carrot必须接受子宫摘除手术将整个子宫取出。而重伤的后脚，也必须马上截肢才得以保命。一场无情的车祸，夺走了Carrot的后脚，也夺走了她的宝宝。不幸已经发生，时间无法重来，我们目前只能尽力挽救Carrot的性命，希望她能熬过接二连三重大的打击，继续振作。
Our volunteers hurried to the scene of the accident after having a rough understanding of the situation. Upon arrival, they saw the heavily pregnant Carrot sitting helplessly in the hallway, unable to move. The injured hind legs were so seriously injured that we could see even the bones inside. She must have been going through unbearable pain. However, despite the physical pain, we were quite sure that she was more worried about her unborn pups. Wondering if they were alright in there…However, because help was late, all of her unborn pups died and Carrot had to go through surgery to have her uterus removed. As for her injured hind legs, they were amputated immediately in order to keep her alive.

车祸现场，有人将Carrot的照片放上网络，希望有爱护动物团体能前往施救。的确，要不是因为这张照片，让我们知道有只可怜的狗狗在车祸中遭殃，或许Carrot早已送命。然而，如果有心人能第一时间将Carrot送往医院急救，而不只是拍照等待别人的救援，或许故事的结局就不会如此悲惨。
An accident took away Carrot’s hind legs and her puppies. What has happened, happened, there is no way we can reverse it. All that we can do now is to give it our best to save Carrot’s life, with the hope that she could be strong despite the double blow. Someone at the scene of the accident posted Carrot’s photos online hoping that someone could help her out. Indeed, if it was not for this photo, Carrot might have been dead by now. However, if this person could do a little bit more, i.e. sending Carrot to an animal hospital immediately instead of taking and posting the photo, the whole tragedy might not be so tragic after all.

Carrot的悲剧已经发生，无法挽回。我们知道她不会是最后一个在车轮底下牺牲的毛孩，但我们真切希望，倘若毛孩还存有一丝气息，您的行动是最大的关键。请您第一时间将他们送到兽医院急救，为拯救他们的生命做最大的努力!
Carrot’s case will never be the last of its kind, there will be many more furkids which will suffer the same fate if not worse. We sincerely hope that people can lend a helping hand to save them if they were still alive when they were found. Your immediate response/action is the key. Please help to send them to an animal hospital immediately so that they stand a chance to fight for their own lives.

可怜的毛孩Carrot还是熬不过生命中这一难关，被无情的死神带走了。
Poor furkid Carrot couldn’t pull through this tough time of the life, she’s left us.

死因是车祸所致的严重内伤，拖延就医造成内脏出血。兽医也束手无策，只能放手让她脱离苦难。
Cause of death, seriously injuries from being hit by a car that has led to internal bleeding. The vet couldn’t do much to help so we freed her from the pain.

我们深信，她一定是到了彩虹桥的另一端，和刚在肚子里夭折的狗宝宝们相聚。她会在狗天堂里，温柔地照顾宝宝们，做个称职的狗妈妈。
We truly believe that she has arrived at the other side of the rainbow bridge, reunited with her unborn pups. She will be the best mom of all, giving tender loving care to her pups, right there in the doggie heaven.

如果可以重来，我们希望肇祸的司机可以放慢车速，留意到路上正在行走的狗狗。
If we could turn back time, we wish that the driver could slow down and pay attention to the animals (dogs) on the road.

如果可以重来，我们希望车祸发生后，有人能第一时间将重伤的狗狗送往医院急救，不袖手旁观，不只是拍照等待救援，而是付诸行动，为拯救小生命而尽力。
If we could turn back time, we hope that there was someone who would really lend a helping hand immediately after the accident to send the badly injured dog to the hospital. Not take photo and wait for others to notice and come to her rescue but to take the initiative to actually try to save her life.

但，一切都无法重来。悲剧发生了，生命结束了。Carrot和她肚子里的宝宝，在车轮底下牺牲了。
But we can’t turn back time. Tragedy happened, lives vanished.

狗天堂没有车子，没有危险。Carrot，您可以带着孩子们尽情奔跑，去吧！
Carrot and her pups have all died under the wheels. There is no car in heaven, no danger. Carrot, run free with your pups where you are. Go!
