Humans selfishness and heartless caused the delay in rescuing of a small animal.
Her name was Wind. A small dog which was only 2 months old. On a warm sunny afternoon, after being hit by a vehicle, the merciless driver just threw her onto the side of the road!
Hence, we requested the witness to quickly help Wind to the nearest Vet to save her life but her reply was "I do not dare". Wind had a broken leg and was vomiting at that moment. If nobody from H.O.P.E was to come in time, Wind will be left to die.
Volunteers could only rush over after finishing their work, they anxiously combed the location in search for Wind. It was only until very late in the evening before they managed to find Wind. The vet clinic was already closed!
The very next morning, volunteers sped Wind over for medical treatment. The vet examined Wind over the X-Ray and found that her internal organs was badly damaged from the vehicle's strong impact. Without hesitance, the vet started the surgery.
During the surgery, the vet found that Wind's large intestine had already burst. She was having serious internal bleeding, there was no way to suture the wound. A pool of blood and urine was building up in the intestine, unable to be extracted. Eventually, the surgery was unsuccessful in saving Wind's life.
If during that nick of time in the accident, someone is willing to bring Wind for medical treatment, the result will not be the same.
We hope that Wind will be able to rest in peace. She became the sacrifice for human beings cruelty, ruthlessness and selfishness.
Just the cost of Wind's X-Ray, ultrasound scan and surgery alone sums up to RM950. We really hope that everyone can help chip in whatever amount that you can give for Wind's medical expenses. Only with the help of everyone that we are able to continue moving on. Thank you!
