Rescue Case 拯救案子 - Barbara

又是一宗宠物被抛弃的拯救案子.

Barbara, (这是我们拯救她之后帮她取的新名字) 是在Nusa Bestari 一排店屋的后巷发现她的. 刚好有一名义工到附近小贩中心用餐, 后来听到附近商家有人告知有一只狗已经出现在他们的后巷好几个礼拜, 但是身体状况很糟糕, 于是义工就绕到后巷去看, 发现有只狗一动也不动地倒卧在后巷, 她身边放了一些水, 还有一些吃剩下的保丽龙饭盒, 应该是有人有喂食她.
Barbara 看到有人靠近她, 不但没有害怕跑走, 反而还走前靠经也不断摇晃着她的尾巴. 可是Barbara 是非常吃力的站起来, 走路步伐也非常缓慢. 这时义工发现, Barbara的脚异常肿大, 而且不断有血水流出来, 不但如此, Barbara 的脸同样也有血水渗出. Barbara也非常的瘦弱, 义工马上倒了一些狗饼和水给她, 只见Barbara 狼吞虎咽就把狗饼全吃完了! 因为已经很晚了, 义工决定第二天早上把Barbara 送去兽医诊所.

经过兽医诊断, Barbara是得了一种叫”毛囊虫” 的皮肤病, 而且非常严重.
毛囊虫又称蠕形螨，寄生于多种哺乳动物，包括人的毛囊和皮脂腺中，是一种永久性的寄生虫，如虫体繁殖增多，使皮脂腺肿胀增生，加之虫体的代谢产物和死虫崩解物的刺激，可使局部产生炎症反应，有时继发细菌感染，可使炎症加重. 狗儿皮肤感染毛囊虫后常见脱毛, 鳞屑或痂皮, 局部常出现眼眶四周, 口唇, 趾间, 也容易产生严重全身严重感染. 严重的话, 瘙痒转为明显, 也有脓包, 皮肤潮红发炎,
而Barbara 就是属于感染非常地严重, 她的四肢皮肤组织全都是脓包而且还发出异味, 更难受是看她不断的瘙痒, 更让她已经破损的皮肤更加严重!
此时, 兽医告诉我们Barbara 是一只纯种的德国狼犬, 也许是因为严重营养不良, 造成Barbara 体型非常瘦弱, 根本完全看不出Barbara原来是一只德国狼犬. 为什么Barbara 会流浪在街头? 难道又是被主人遗弃吗?
这段日子, 越来越多的宠物被人遗弃, 西施, 贵宾, 更是常被主人遗弃的宠物种类.如果你想要养一只狗或猫或任何宠物, 请仔细考虑清楚, 饲养宠物是一种责任, 如果你没有这份责任心, 就请不要饲养宠物

P/S 毛囊虫是母体垂直感染，在国外有毛囊虫的狗是不准繁殖的, 如果你的狗儿曾被验出有毛囊虫, 最好不要繁殖, 建议结扎!

Abandoned and left to fend for herself, see how cruel fate and mankind can be? Barbara was cruelly abandoned in the back lanes of Taman Nusa Bestari. A smelly, emaciated and face bleeding doggy was lying very weakly in the middle of the back lanes. She has a very bad skin disease and she would scratch her body every seconds. She was terribly hungry and thirsty. We had to get her to the vet as soon as possible. The vet confirmed that Barbara is a pure German Shepherd. We totally got a big shocked as her body size was much smaller compare to a normal German Shepherd. Dogs of any size need space for movement to allow their limbs to stretch and grow. We suspected that maybe it's due to long term of caging and lacking of exercise that affected her from growing. The vet diagnosed that one of her foot had a very bad inflammation and swelling. The vet also confirmed that Barbara had severe Demodicosis also called as Mange. Affected dogs will suffer from hair loss, painful or itchy skin, and bacterial skin infections. We couldn't imagine that all this while she must be staying in a very bad and unhygienic environment. She was such a gentle and sweet dog. If you would like to help Barbara, you could help in anyway big or small. Thank you for your continuous support thus far and we will update with more news on Barbara in time to come.

Barbara is still at the veterinary clinic for treatment; please help Barbara for her to have hope for the future. Her medical costs are huge and it needs generosity of everyone, please let Barbara has a new life of hope! Thank you!!

经过两个多月的医药治疗，Barbara身上的‘毛囊虫’病情渐渐有好转，身型也渐渐圆肥了点，在给点时间她，她很快将会变成一只很美丽的女狼狗:)
Barbara是一只非常非常乖的狗女孩，当任何人靠近她身边她总是不吵不闹的乖乖让人疼摸她。
回想她的遭遇，她因为身体感染‘毛囊虫’就惨遭前主人遗弃，我们真的希望狗主们，一旦狗狗们身体上有任何病痛的话，请尽快送狗狗到兽医所接受治疗或讯问相关病情，不是将他们抛弃街头任由他们在死的边缘痛苦挣扎至死亡，请做个负责任的主人!!

After more than two month of medical treatment, 'trichocryptosis' situation on Barbara body has gradually improved. Her weight has increased as well; she will soon become a very beautiful female German shepherd
Barbara is a very good girl, she was always obediently let peoples around her ache to pamper her.
Looking back on what happened to her, she was abandoned by her owner because she has infected with 'trichocryptosis'.We really hope that dog owners send the dog to the vet to receiving medical treatment once they realized any sickness that happened to them. Not abandon them on the streets and let them struggle to the death, please be a responsible pet owner!
We also sincerely thank everyone for their concern over Barbara, this definitely changed her world, we hope her condition will getting better.
Currently Barbara needs to go for the referral treatment to ‘trichocryptosis,.Everyone hope Barbara recover faster.
